Visiting caves where we slept, pools of a hot spring where we bathed, a lake where we swam and a mountain summit... We walked from Baza (80 km east of Granada) to Zújar and to the hot spring on the foot of the mountain Jabalcón. There we slept 3 nights and made workshops and excursions on the Jabalcón and along the big lake.
There are several free pools with water of about 36 degrees, coming out of commercial pools. However, the biggest pool was flooded by the lake because of much rain in the last weeks. We find the area very beautiful.
The Walkabout was a bit early in the year. But we were lucky with the weather. We got 3 warm sunny days. The first both nights were colder, but we found caves for sleeping nicely with warmer temperatures. In this area humans were digging caves for living therein, as the rocks are quite soft so that digging is relatively easy.
