Invitation: Walkabout 💚
2025
I invited you to a walkabout close to Murcia with Jean Claude. But Jean Claude got an inflammation in his knee and can't hike, and there are no other participants. My partner Murielle spends the cold season in France. But I still like to hike for a few days in the cold season if I can find someone to go with me...If you want to come along, you can help decide the date. We can start on a Saturday afternoon and stop on the nect Friday. It cannot be in 2024, but in January 2025, February, March... I like to sleep sheltered in caves in the cold season. So I've chosen a route where we can sleep in caves 4 times, one of them very close to the hot spring at Alhama de Granada, where we can bathe in water that's about 40 degrees!

Our motivation
With our walkabouts we connect with nature. We are as close to nature as possible. We live in nature with as few resources as possible. That's why we sleep outside and only protect ourselves from the rain with a tarp (if necessary). We eat vegan raw food, we find it partly in nature. I mostly go barefoot, which I also feel is a connection with nature. Everyone walks their own spiritual path. The only condition for participation is peaceful coexistence, the desire to connect with nature and a raw food diet.
Physical requirement
All in all, we will climb 1700m in altitude and walk about 20km per day. So you will need some fitness for this hike, but not necessarily superpowers - provided you take the following tips on equipment to heart.
Things to bring
As little as possible! What we need is proper protection from sun and rain, a sleeping bag (temperature rating minimum 6 Degree Celsius at night), an isolation mat, a sun hat, a bit fitness, love and peace. We will find food in nature and buy in the villages. It's good to bring raw seeds and nuts, because we will not find them in the villages. Even better would be to sprout and dry them or to make raw crackers. See Sprouting Tips.
Please don't bring bought flakes (they're heated), nor bread, cakes, other heated food, animal products, tobacco, drugs, books... Please bring only things that are light and absolutely necessary.
Rain protection
I recommend to bring neither a tent nor a raincoat but a poncho-tarp! It has only 300 g and protects you day and night from rain. If a lot of rain is forecast, we will postpone or cancel the hike.
