A hike in the centre, north and east of Paris. We are not hiking through secluded natural landscapes, as we usually prefer. But you will see that even in Paris there are small paths without cars...

The hike consists of two parts: From 11 to 14 July, we will hike north from the centre of Paris to Persan. We will take a break there, as Murielle has a dentist appointment. From 16 to 22 July, we will hike back to Paris, but will take a detour to the east.

After about a kilometre after the start point in Paris, we reach a highlight: The "Coulée Verte René Dumont", a 6km long green way in the center of Paris, built over a disused railway line. Behind Paris, agriculture, forests and settlements will alternate. After the dentist has done the necessary things in Murielle's mouth, we make a wide detour around Paris to approach the center from the east. There is the river "La Marne" with small paths along the bank.

My motivation

We will be on our way from my mother's house in northern Germany to my finca in southern Spain. Since I don't want to fly, we're traveling the entire way by bus, which will take more than two days. To recover from the stress of the bus ride, we're doing this hike in and around Paris, also to replace further bus rides from Paris to the dentist and back. We eat vegan raw food, we find it partly in nature. I mostly go barefoot, which I also feel is a connection with nature. Everyone walks their own spiritual path. The only condition for participation is peaceful coexistence, the desire to connect with nature and a raw food diet.

Physical requirement

20 km per day should be doable for you. There will be hardly any ascents or descents. Please remember to take only the very necessary things with you.

Things to bring

As little as possible! What we need is proper protection from sun and rain, a sleeping bag (temperature rating minimum 12 Degree Celsius at night), an isolation mat, a sun hat, some fitness, love and peace.
Please don't bring bought flakes (they're heated), nor bread, cakes, other heated food, animal products, tobacco, drugs, books... Please bring only things that are light and absolutely necessary.

Rain protection

I recommend to bring neither a tent nor a raincoat but a poncho-tarp! It has only 300 g and protects you day and night from rain. If heavy rain is forecast, we will shorten or cancel the hike.

Gratis, you only need to buy food. You can donate for the organisation, but you are also welcome if you don't donate.
