I couldn't send the invitation to the newsletter, because of a server problem. So I just sent it to some friends. One of them came on this hike with Aim'jie and me.
It was again a special, wonderful experience: 50km of beaches and small mountains (one of the few undeveloped areas on the Mediterranean coast), then 60km landinside, 2 impressive caves, 2 fincas owned by friends with an amazing variety of fruit trees (especially mangoes), mountains with many different fruits and finally back to the coast.

We sleep at the end of Playa del Pino.

Monday

Tueday
The red arrow points to the entrance of the "Cueva Barranco de Iñate", ...
...a cave with 200m long tunnels, bats and stalagmites.
1km further, we visit the"Cueva del Capitán", a beautiful cave with 2 big rooms.
Wednesday
After sleeping in a hut of a friend, we are 6 people walking to another friend.
On a ridge, we make a break. Through a gap in the rocks, we have a view to the North.

Thursday
Overnight on the roof of the house of the other friend, ...
...a mango expert. These mangos are all from his plantation. He has 47 kinds!
The sole of my sandal has a hole in it. I take an old plastic bottle and cut an insert.
Friday
Sleeping place on top of a small mountain
Breakfast with various fruits that we found on the way
Cactus figs. They taste wonderful but have spikes. No problem for us.
We don't have shoes about us, only sandals.
Our friend repaired his sandals with wire that he found on the way.
My sandals are pretty old as well. The plastic of the bottle helped.
Aim'jie's sandals are in a better state. See you next time!?
