Still we couldn't invite you via the newsletter, the server of the newsletter didn't work. I guess, it has to do with the Corona restrictions. Thus, we invited personally some friends. Several of them were interested, but in the end, Aim'jie and I did the tour alone.

We both had little experience with paddling, but enough to do the 20km per day. I was even able to go backwards. In the first days I had a little neck pain during paddling. Then I read in internet some advices: sitting upright, often lowering your head, not only pulling with one hand but also pushing with the other and bringing this side up quite a bit.  And it helped: on the last day we did a 6km final sprint and I was pain-free.

Thanks to Manfred, he lent us his boat.

Saturday 2 Oct 2021
Fortunately, Manfred lives directly at a beach.

Good bye, Manfred! We start at 6pm. We paddle only 3km, until...

...this beach of Estepona. At the wooden house, we smell a bit urine. So we sleep a bit away from it and use the boat against the beach lights.

Sunday
Break for shitting. We dig between the trees with a stick or stone a small hole, shit in it and close it. The water here is calm, but...

...on the sea, there are high waves today, several times they push a little water into the boat. And a strong wind from West, that's helping us.

Often it's a challenge, to get ashore. One time I loose the balance and fall into the water. Aim'jie is walking now along the beach, I'm paddling alone.

In the evening, beach lights and sounds disturb us. Aim'jie notices some bad thoughts in her. Later the music stops, and we sleep well.

Monday
Now the sea is very calm. Aim'jie is walking again. In the background, you can recognise the mountains of Gibraltar, Ceuta and Africa.

We sleep at this beach between Marbella and Fuengirola.

Tuesday
Often the houses are not well protected from the sea. A tsunami is a real danger.

We use this big bucket to store things waterproof.

Little meal on the boat. Aim'jie seasoned the zucchini with sea water.

Sleeping place, 8km behind Fuengirola, close to a four-star hotel, under millions of stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Wednesday
Our "homeland mountains" are in view! You can recognise La Maroma (2,066m) and Lucero (1,779m) in the background.

The harbour of Málaga

Málaga lies in a bay. We paddle around this town.

For a break, we make shade with the boat, because...

...we have little sunburns.

Here we use the boat against the beach lights, for sleeping better.

Thursday
We put sand in our faces, to protect us against the sun. Next time we'll bring clay from our finca.

We take a break, with view to Rincon de la Victoria. The red thing...

...is a buoy. I have fixed the boat to it with a string, not to be driven back, because there's a little wind and current in the wrong direction.

Our most beautiful sleeping place on a big lonely beach.

Friday
This morning we start earlier, to watch the sunrise over the sea.

Our "homeland mountains" are closer now. On the Peak Walk we were on top. And we'll go there again!

Aim'jie's funny sun protection

We sleep at the beach of the village Mezquitilla.

Saturday
In Torrox Costa, we find shade for a break in a nice cave.

Nerja in view - 6km! We give full power...

...and arrive 90 minutes later. Nerja is 3km from our finca. We find it the most beautiful situated town of our tour.

We discover this jellyfish. I don't find this kind in internet. Which could it be?

Barranco de Maro in view! It's our destination.

Juchu, we did it 😎
Next time with you?
