One week paddling over the sea - and sleeping on beaches! This gives me a special feeling of unity with the sea and its infinite power and vastness, it also reminds me of my transience and eternity. This piece of plastic beneath me saves me from death and allows me to travel over 70 kilometers on water! In doing so, we do not harm the sea (like the motor-driven watercraft that contribute to warming of the climate and the seas), we promote our health and strength and have an almost free vacation!

After Murielle and I paddled alone in our friend Manfred's boat for a week the last two years, this time we were 4 people in 2 inflatable boats: Isabelle, Aline, Murielle and me. I was the only non-French; the dominant language was French. I often got translations and was happy with that.

There were major communication problems between the three French women. One wanted to paddle in the warm time of the day, another one didn't like the sun, I wanted to make more km. We were able to agree on compromises, but a tour like this is tiring and ultimately put our nerves on edge - we ended the tour. We would not have reached the original destination, Estepona, in time anyway, we didn't have enough strength for that. The boat of Isabelle was more tiring than Manfred's boat, I had slight shoulder pain.

After the tour, Isabelle and Aline stayed on our finca for a few days, where communication was better again. We see the problems during the tour as a challenge to continue working on our spiritual self-discovery. In this sense, the tour can be helpful for all. So, we say yes to the disputes we had. And anyway, it's again and again beautiful to feel the infinite power of the sea in a paddle boat.
